Career

Detroit’s underground rap scene is where Eminem started his career, where he learned his craft through rap battles. In 1996, he released his debut album, Infinite, which was unsuccessful financially but provided the foundation for his later success. Even though he faced criticism and financial hardship, Eminem persevered. By blending dark humor with sharp lyricism, he developed his Slim Shady alter ego, which was noticed by Dr. Dre.

His financial situation had deteriorated, and by 1997, he was compelled to reside in his mother’s house with his family. To let go of the frustration that was building up inside him, he created an anti-social alter ego called ‘Slim Shady’ during this period. His initial extended play bore the same name and was recorded in the same year. In 1997, he participated in the ‘Rap Olympics’ and finished second. After listening to Eminem’s ‘Slim Shady EP (Extended Play), Dr. Dre, owner of Aftermath Entertainment, was highly impressed and expressed his desire to work with the talented rapper.

Eminem’s Slim Shady album was published in 1999 by Aftermath Entertainment, which was founded by Dr. Dre and Dre himself. His first Grammy Award and global superstardom were a result of the album’s instant success, which earned him his first. The Marshall Mathers LP and The Eminem Show, his two subsequent albums, set sales records and established his status as a groundbreaking artist.

The albums contained a variety of hits, including ‘Without Me’, ‘Superman’, ‘Mockingbird’, and ‘Just Lose It’. Dr. Dre received assistance from him on several songs, including the Grammy-winning ‘Forgot About Dre.’

The rapper created ‘The Re-Up’, an album of compiled songs, under the name of his label ‘Shady Records’ in 2006. During that year, he made an appearance at the ‘BET Music Awards’ singing the song ‘Touch It’. Between 2009 and 2010, the charismatic rapper released the studio albums ‘Relapse’ and ‘Recovery’. ‘Beautiful’ and ‘We Made You’ are two of the singles from ‘Relapse’ that have been successful, and ‘Recovery’ is the most popular digital album ever. ‘Not Afraid’, ‘Love the Way You Lie’, and ‘No Love’, which feature Rihanna and Lil Wayne, are among the tracks on the ‘Recovery’ album.

The total number of Grammy Awards, American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, Academy Awards, and MTV Europe Music Global Icon Awards won by Eminem is 15. Ten number-one albums on Billboard 200 and 5 number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100 are unique to him as an artist.
